Spent the morning packing up all of the gems and minerals for the #HDTSgemandmineral fundraiser this weekend! Green Calcite is a mental healer, dissolving rigid beliefs and old programs and restoring balance to the mind. It helps in letting go of what is familiar and comforting, but which no longer serves. It aids the transition from a stagnant to a positive situation. It is a powerful stimulator for the immune system and absorbs negativity and rids the body of bacterial infections.
Taking advantage of power hour for the past week and a half to paint the roof of the studio with white elastomeric – it’s kind of a massive job that's felt a bit too overwhelming to tackle for the last few years. It feels good to finally be getting this done. Hopefully this will keep things inside a lot cooler next summer. There are two big swamp coolers at either end of the studio, but the center is mostly cooled by the breeze that comes in through the rollup garage doors.
Citrine is well known as a success and prosperity stone to the point that it is called the "Success Stone." It is said to promote success and abundance in all areas, and in many ways, and brings energies of generosity and honesty so that the prosperity and success is shared. It can bring happiness to the person who carries or wears it. Because of its removal of negative energy and its own bring positivity, it can relieve depression, self-doubt, anger, and irrational mood swings. #HDTSgemandmineral
At the recycling center they smash spent ammo casings into these ball-like nuggets that are sold by the truckload for scrap. Mr. King told us that as a mommento of our visit, the Marines were going to give us not just one ball… but that each person could have two balls, since they knew we didn't have any and they wanted to give us some. (He encouraged us to take two big ones that were matching – if that's what we preferred.)
Spent a super interesting day at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center today. We got to go into this vessel which basically flips upside down while you are inside wearing a five point harness. During a real exercise you are supposed to learn how to escape a flipped vehicle (while wearing your gear and dragging out unconscious troop-mates) in two minutes or less.
